This hand-painted map of Old Beijing was done by Wu Run-De in the late Qing Dynasty. It comes from his original album of maps of China painted in the ‘Ding Wei Year’. It is not clear which Ding Wei year is meant, so an exact dating may be possible. The names of the gates have been translated into Pinyin. The Railway Station is shown, which means that this map was drawn after its construction in 1901
